By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. ## Eligibility The Service is intended for adult learners aged 18 and over. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this age requirement. ## Your account You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we believe have violated these Terms. ## Acceptable use You agree not to: - Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation - Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except to the extent permitted by law - Access the Service through automated means, scrape content, or attempt to circumvent rate limits or authentication - Resell, redistribute, or share your account or any paid content with others - Upload or transmit any content that is illegal, infringing, or abusive ## Content and intellectual property The Service, including the curriculum, lessons, vocabulary lists, grammar explanations, audio, software, and design, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own learning, subject to these Terms. ## Subscriptions and payments Xue Chinese offers an optional paid subscription ("Xue Chinese Pro") with monthly and yearly plans, where available. Subscriptions are purchased through Google Play on Android or the Apple App Store on iOS, subject to the price, billing period and terms shown at checkout. - Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal through the store where you subscribed - You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Google Play or Apple subscription settings, or from the Profile screen in the app - Refund requests are handled under the applicable store's policies and any applicable statutory rights - We may change the price or features of the subscription with reasonable advance notice; price changes will not apply retroactively to your current billing period ## Free features and Pro gating All HSK 1 lessons, unlimited HSK 1 mock exams, and the HSK 1 graduation exam are available without a subscription. The first unit of HSK 2 and HSK 3 is free. Later HSK 2 and HSK 3 units, mock exams, and graduation exams require an active Xue Chinese Pro entitlement. Features and availability may change over time. ## Learning content and exam results Xue Chinese provides original lessons and practice aligned with the HSK 3.0 syllabus. It is an independent study resource, not an official HSK course. Practice exams use original questions and do not reproduce official HSK papers or exactly simulate the official exam. Xue Chinese is not affiliated with or endorsed by the HSK examination organizer. No score, certification, official HSK examination result, or other learning outcome is guaranteed. ## Termination and account deletion You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms us or other users. ## Disclaimers The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will achieve any particular learning outcome. ## Limitation of liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose. ## Changes to the Service or these Terms We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will provide reasonable advance notice.
